Where to find everything:
Parking & Shuttles
We are excited to be welcoming hundreds of paddlers to the valley for a weekend of fun and frivolity. With this, come lots of vehicles and the inevitable parking / shuttle faff. It is really important that we demonstrate that paddlers are a positive thing for the valley and don’t cause road / parking carnage, so please:
- Car share as much as possible!
- Use our shuttle service
- Park courteously
- Pay for parking where required
- Condense vehicles once you get to the valley & park excess vehicles out of the way
We’ve made a Google Map with all shuttle stops, suggested car parks and event locations which you can see above. Check it out!
We have several shuttle vehicles, for people & boats, that will drive circuits between:
- Pavillion Car Park
- Ponsonby Car Park
- Mile End Mill
- Horseshoe Falls
Leave time in your plans to not park where you normally might and use the shuttle.
Your ticket includes use of Mile End Mill site & car park, but it’s not big enough for everyone’s cars, so please consider parking elsewhere and using the shuttle; or the footpath access from Pavillion Car Park to Bottom Wave (see map for details).
There’s overflow parking available for Mile End Mill across the road in Preworn available Saturday and Sunday, but remember to pay by phone as per the signs.
Under 18s
We welcome and encourage junior paddlers of any age, as long as they have the experience and ability to safely take part. We have a few rules to help keep them safe (inc needing an adult with them). Please make sure you have read our Junior Paddler Info & Welfare Plan before entering.
